Panel Discussion - Women in International Security Germany
Anniversary celebration on November 13, 2008 at the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP), Rauchstr. 17, 10787 Berlin:
In 2003, ten women founded the German branch of Women in International Security with the objective to promote the efforts of women experts in the field of international security, to expand their network and to give them better access to information.
Today, this non-profit organization incorporates four regional chapters in Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt and Köln/Bonn with more than 240 members nationwide. These women in foreign- and security policy meet regularly for background discussions and informal luncheons. In addition, WIIS.de publishes a quarterly newsletter, a monthly job-update, and a directory providing an overview of the members profile and expertise.
On the occasion of our 5th anniversary, we cordially invite you to get to know WIIS.de, to celebrate our anniversary with us and, above all, to engage in lively discussions. Sabine Adler, Bureau Chief of Studio Berlin, Deutschlandradio, will host a high-ranking panel-discussion on
- Women in International Security
- Women’s Achievements in Security Policy: Key Roles in Civil Society, Military, and Strategic Planning
We would also like to invite you to a reception, following the panel discussion.
For further information and confirmation, please contact Nina Glonnegger at conference@wiis.de.
